The Geely Cityray is a compact SUV introduced by Geely in 2025, designed to offer a blend of modern aesthetics, advanced technology, and efficient performance. It is built on Geely's B segment Modular Architecture (BMA), which emphasizes structural rigidity and supports advanced driver assistance systems.
Under the hood, the Cityray is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 172 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) and features front wheel drive. The vehicle offers four driving modes Economy, Comfort, Sport, and Smart allowing drivers to tailor the driving experience to their preferences.
The Cityray boasts a contemporary design with a distinctive black, scale like front grille complemented by dot matrix LED headlights. Its side profile features a dual-tone body design, often with a contrasting black roof, and rides on black alloy wheels up to 19 inches in size. At the rear, arrowhead shaped LED taillights connected by a horizontal light bar, along with a sporty rear wing and dual chrome exhaust outlets, enhance its athletic appearance.
Inside, the Cityray offers a spacious and modern cabin with soft touch materials and options for synthetic leather upholstery. The dashboard features a 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2 inch 2K infotainment touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip running Geely's Galaxy OS 2.0. Additional amenities include wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay integration, and an Infinity premium audio system in higher trims.
The Cityray is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and rear parking sensors. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) further enhance safety.
The Cityray measures 4,510mm in length, 1,865mm in width, and 1,650mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,701mm. These dimensions provide ample interior space for passengers and cargo, making it suitable for both urban commuting and longer journeys.
The Geely Cityray is available in various markets, including the UAE, where it comes in three trims: GC, GK, and GF+, with prices starting at AED 86,500. It competes with models like the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, MG HS, and Toyota RAV4 in the compact SUV segment.
