As the UAE celebrates its 54ᵗʰ National Day, several emirates have introduced generous traffic fine discounts and a one-time waiver of traffic black points, offering motorists a fresh start and encouraging compliance with road safety regulations.

According to the Sharjah Police General Command, this initiative coincides with the National Day celebrations and is part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and traffic compliance.

Sharjah Traffic Fine Discounts & Black Point Waiver

Sharjah Police have rolled out the following benefits for drivers:

  • 35% Discount on traffic fines, including vehicle impoundment fees and release charges, if paid within 60 days of the violation.
  • 25% Discount on fines if paid after 60 days but within one year (excluding impoundment fees).
  • Full Waiver of Traffic Black Points for violations committed before 1 December 2025, provided fines are cleared by 10 January 2026.

Excluded Violations:

These discounts and waivers do not apply to serious traffic offences, which include:

  • Excessive speeding (over 60 km/h above the limit)
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Running red lights (light and heavy vehicles)
  • Distracted driving (including handheld mobile use)
  • Endangering life or property
  • Other high-risk violations as listed by Sharjah Police

Umm Al Quwain Traffic Fine Discounts

Meanwhile, Umm Al Quwain Police are offering a 40% discount on traffic fines for offences committed before 1 December 2025, valid until early January 2026. Serious or aggravated violations are excluded from this offer.
